Another Broken Egg Cafe

Another Broken Egg Cafe

2355 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA, 30305

SHOW US YOUR GRITS! The Mardi Gras omelet at Another Broken Egg Cafe

Delicious country chic, the perfect description for Atlanta's newest breakfast hot spot, Another Broken Egg Cafe.  This is the same famous franchise that has a chain of restaurants of the Gulf Coast.  Located right off of Peachtree, they specialize in only breakfast and brunch as they are open 7am to 2pm.  Their menu has an interesting array of baked goods, omelets, eggs benedict, burgers, sandwiches and salads all with their own southern twist to it.

I got the Bacquezo pronounced as (Ba-Key-Zo) creamy sinful goodness.  The omelet was jammed packed with Monterey Jack and cream cheese both were melted perfection.  The also use baked bacon as opposed to fried (you couldn't tell the difference), Chorizo and scallions.  The Floridian on the other hand was a watery mess.  Underneath the omelet itself was this puddle of liquidity crab water, not very nice. I highly suggest that you order a side of grits, I could have very well eaten a large bowl of that.

Its worth the $9-$12 dollar bill, enjoy.

Maybe late but,,

Transformers 3 Astonishingly AwfulTransformers: Dark of the Moon

Michael Bay needs to send me a check for the tickets I bought as the dullness of this 157 brutually long minutes movie kicked me almost immediately.  It was one of those movies that they hype of the previous films almost required your attendance yet again.  Anthony Lane of the New Yorker hit it right on the head when he said, "The third outing for a herd of toys that should have stayed in their boxes."

I feel that after they decided to kick all the Autobots out and on a shuttle, the movie became a black hole of robot gigantism at its peak.  Sam all of sudden realises that he loves the super hot model and now is the time to save her, who is in Chicago in the middle of a Decepticons clusterfuck. The glass building scene made me want to eat glass. It was so drawn out and so unrealistic that I was debating on running out to watch my salvation of Harry Potter again. From the previous films, how in the world am I to believe that the girlfriend, called a Deception "a bitch" and still was able to trott off in her heels and ever so clean white blazer.  Of course everyone was saved only seconds from the deaths or short circuit.  It happened all to ofter I was on the verge of gagging.

Don't waste your money on seeing it in theatres.  Matter of fact don't waste your money on renting it either, use the free Blockbuster or Redbox codes they're always passing out.

Taqueria del Sol- Yes Please

2165 Cheshire Bridge Road, Atlanta or 359 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue
Decatur, GA

This Southern, Mexican infused masterpiece blends the convenience of a taco stand with the quality ingredients you can only hope for. Don't let the long lines detour you, they move fast and it's well worth the small wait.  If the delicious food and nicest staff around wasn't enough, you'll pee your pants with excitement when you see the prices.  Best fish tacos around under $3 bucks kiss that other Dirty Bell place goodbye!

Fish Tacos from the Gods-Tilapia dipped in an egg wash, rolled in corn masa and bread crumbs and deep-fried. Served with poblano tartar sauce and pickled jalapeƱos.

Memphis-Chopped smoked pork with a spicy jalapeƱo coleslaw and tequila BBQ sauce.
Shrimp Chowder- this creamy, almost soothing chowder hits and nourishes all the right spots.  I recommend this to every and any body.

Delicious Margaritas!  I prefer mine frozen, with that first sip, you can taste the top shelf liquor in its frozen perfection.
Honestly everything on the menu is great though, you couldnt go wong really.  Only sucky thing is their times, they close at 2 and open back at 5 during the week and are closed on Sundays.  Check the schedule before you head down there so yum

Los Loros Mexican Restaurant 1, 2 FLOOR MARGARITAS

Los Loros Mexican Restaurant- 1248 Clairmont Rd Decatur, GA

A great little spot only minutes away from Emory.  Every time I drive pass, I notice the many hammer faced, dazed confusion looks of the drunkers on the patio.  Well this week I decided to join the elite lush group and have me a pineapple margarita.  HOLY TEQUILA!!  The bartender sure has a heavy hand, these $3 dollar bad boys sure hold a heavy punch and go oh so well with the endless chips and salsa.

Portions are huge especially for the price.  If you're trying to watch your waistline, stay clear of this spot as everything is loaded with a mound of cheese and/or sour cream.  The meals are only about $5-7.50 for the lunch menu, but you will fall asleep when you get back your office (the itis)

You have got to dip your chips in the refried beans,if you get them, with a dollop of salsa so yum.  On the appetizer menu, they have a shrimp quesdilla TRY IT!  The quality of the shrimp is so good and so cheap at about $4.25 but borders on a salt overload.  Its big enough to be a meal.

If you want a quick decent and oh so cheap meal head over to Decatur's little secret of Los Loros, you'll be glad you did.

Let me croak & go to Kilwins

Kilwins is a sweet piece of sugar heaven in a beautiful brown box in the middle of Atlantic Station, 1380 Atlantic Drive, Suite 14250 Atlanta, GA 30363.  It makes the strictest of dieters want to grab a caramel apple to argue that it is indeed apart of the a balanced diet.

On the weekends you can expect to find some pretty talented artists playing for patrons as they enter their sugar coma.  On Saturday night the violinist played for my mom as the entire place sung Happy Birthday for my mom, it was pretty amazing.

The homemade ice cream is amazing even though its a bit on the pricey side, its worth every penny, your ass will curse you at a later date for it. You have to at least go over to the glass cases and have a small sample, you wont be disappointed. I'm not a huge fudge fan but with every flavor from peanut butter, cookies and cream or just plain chocolate Kilwins never disappoints.

The owner of this location is about one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.  Every person that he encounters feels so welcome and instantly becomes a piece of toffee in the Kilwins family.
